Big Bass Drop

Big Bass Drop surprised me. I expected a slow, meditative fishing sim and instead got a punchy arcade game about reflexes. You drop your line, wait for the tension to build, and then tap at the right moment as fish move through the water. Miss the window and the line goes slack; nail it and you reel in something big with a satisfying little animation.

The controls are just a tap and a swipe, which sounds too simple until you hit the faster stages where three fish cross the screen at once and you have to read their patterns. It plays great in short bursts, but I found myself doing 'one more cast' way past when I meant to stop.

Progression is light but well paced. New locations open up as you clear score targets, and each brings a different rhythm of fish and current. Nothing about it feels padded, which is rare for this kind of game.
